Here at The Product Studio, we’re intently focused on bringing our community of agents and employees together in new and creative ways. In an industry with no shortage of talent, insight and real-world knowledge, we believe the best way to build stand-out products that will lead us into the future is to tap into that talent, listen, learn and then build products that deliver value and are embraced by all.
In that spirit of collaboration, we will host our first-ever Virtual Innovation Lab, partnering with the Realogy User Experience Team. On November 21 and 22, we’ll be engaging 40 agents and employees from around the country to share their insights and ideas that will define our future and help us move forward with the best products in the industry.
Each session will be four hours and held virtually. After a brief kick-off, we’ll delve into our Ideate segment, where participants will be encouraged to put on their thinking caps and give us their thoughts and ideas about a variety of topics:
- Product Suite
- Prospect Square
- CBx Seller Leads
- Exclusive Look
During this segment, we’ll tackle something known in the product world as “affinity mapping,” organizing similar groups of ideas into a greater system of big-picture ideas. It will be a fun and, for some, new way to learn and engage. All will be encouraged to put their best ideas/thoughts forward – no wrong answers, just possibilities with the sky as the limit!
Ideas will then be posted on a virtual whiteboard and shared with all. Overlapping ideas will be similarly organized. Then we’ll vote on what ideas would make the biggest difference for users, and participants will also have the chance to weigh in on what, if any, additional features could be added to make them even better.
After organizing the ideas, they will be labeled and prioritized. It’s great to have great ideas, but will they work? That’s the fun part because at this stage, we’ll tell the engineers how easy something is to do, and they’ll shake their heads and tell us just how wrong we are.
This is an exciting way for people from various teams, backgrounds and geographies to collaborate and define issues and opportunities from a holistic view. It will be well worth the four hours, and it will provide us with well-rounded solutions through a fun and effective cross-collaboration session. Our goal is to take the ideas and figure out how we can make the biggest impact in the shortest amount of time on our key products.
